Le marché fluctue en fonction de la corporation de départ choisie par vous et vos adversaires et vous parmi les quatre disponibles, et en fonction des ressources que vous accumulez. La stratégie est ici la clé, et les alliances précaires entre rivaux volent facilement en éclats.

Dans Offworld Trading Company, les forces du marché sont plus puissantes que les armes ou les bombes. Géré en temps réel par les joueurs, le marché est à la fois votre épée et votre bouclier. Pour l'emporter, vous devez savoir choisir quelles ressources acquérir, quelles marchandises produire et vendre, comment interagir avec le marché clandestin florissant de la planète et quelles actions acheter au moment opportun. Avec une douzaine de ressources différentes disponibles et une économie de marché en constante évolution, la stratégie à adopter pour remporter la victoire n'est jamais deux fois la même : chaque partie est unique.
