Blackwind est un jeu d'action en vue du dessus dans un univers de science-fiction, qui vous met dans la peau d'un adolescent aux commandes d'un prototype d'armure de combat en pleine invasion extra-terrestre. Affrontez vos ennemis, brisez leurs rangs et contre-attaquez dans une ultime tentative pour arrêter une invasion planétaire.

Lorsque le vaisseau Pandora est détruit, James Hawkins se retrouve coincé à l'intérieur d'un prototype d'armure Battle Frame et fonce en direction de Medusa-42. Tandis que des hordes de Raknos ravagent la planète et transforment les colonies minières humaines en ruines, James doit se dépêcher de trouver le moyen de contrôler son Battle Frame s'il veut survivre à cet environnement dangereux et retrouver son père disparu.

Mais James n'est pas seul dans cette quête… un allié inattendu se cache dans son Battle Frame…

- Choisissez votre style de jeu : combattez au corps à corps, tirez à volonté, lancez des missiles ou utilisez les pouvoirs de votre Battle Frame pour résister aux attaques.
- Achevez violemment vos adversaires avec des coups brutaux.
- Améliorez votre Battle Frame avec de nouveaux pouvoirs et développez votre arbre de compétences.
- Utilisez le Drone du Battle Frame pour étendre vos aptitudes de combat et d'exploration dans la campagne solo.
- Mode coop local : le Battle Frame et son Drone peuvent être contrôlés par deux joueurs.
