Lorsque Furball boit accidentellement une potion de sommeil, son maître, le sorcier Lux, doit extraire la peur des humains pour créer une potion d'éveil. Après que le sorcier maléfique se soit écrasé à la station balnéaire Golden Sands et ait kidnappé tous les humains, c'est aux loyaux chiens Kenny, Lenny et Max de sauver leurs amis humains et de montrer à Lux qu'un peu d'amour et d'attention l'emporte toujours sur la peur.
