Claybook est un monde unique qui se compose entièrement d'argile. Ainsi, l'argile exerce un véritable impact sur ce monde. Chaque recoin de cet environnement peut se sculpter et se mouler. Tout est matière, il ne s'agit pas que d'une simple enveloppe externe. L'argile peut-être liquide ou solide, comme se déformer ou se détruire.

Dans ce jeu, vous incarnez des enfants vaillants qui donnent vie à Claybook. Chaque chapitre du livre vous défie avec ses obstacles et ses énigmes uniques. Vous détenez des blocs d'argile avec la possibilité de les transformer en formes différentes afin de surmonter les difficultés rencontrées. Chaque forme possède ses propres forces et faiblesses, certaines disposent même de pouvoirs spéciaux.
